Who are we?

The Six Eight Initiative is an outreach effort powered by Crossway Church and friends who are committed to loving others by serving and caring for the community in a tangible way.

What do we do?

The Six Eight Initiative will partner with local existing groups who work with the disadvangtaged and support the work that they have started.  The first event will partner with 13 different organizations in the greater Orange County area.

Why do this?

The church is compelled to reach outside of its walls to fulfill the great commandment of Jesus who tells us to "love our neighbor as ourselves."  The goal is to live out the gospel in such a way to bring glory to God through good works.

The Vision of Six Eight

The vision of the 6:8 Initiative is simply to see the church do justice, love kindness and to walk humbly before God.

Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good;
and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?

Crossway Community Church

Crossway Church was planted in Sept. 2007 with the dream of being a church for all people.  The heart and soul of Crossway has been the gospel and missions.  Though many relate missions with work done overseas, there is a plentiful harvest here in Orange County.  With this in mind, the pastoral team started praying and planning a local outreach effort.  This is the story of the Six Eight Initiative.
